Travel to downtown Ellijay for some shopping or local eats. 

Downtown offers a lot while still giving you that small town feel. Antique and boutique shops line the streets, and some of the best eats in Ellijay are there.  While the cabin comes stocked with essentials to cook, we definitely recommend experiencing a meal at The Roof or keep it casual at Ellijay Wood Fired Pizza. If you want a larger downtown area, or are in town for a while, take a trip to Blue Ridge or Helen.  

There are local events happening throughout the year. The biggest event in town, The Georgia Apple Festival, is filled with local crafts, live music, food and of course apple picking. If you are in town in the Fall apple picking is a must.
